A Checklist for Evaluating AI Vendors: Key Questions to Ask

This is new stuff. We need to get this right for our candidates, team members, and customers.

As the saying goes, generative AI is eating just about everything.

In hiring and HR, that includes recruiting, onboarding, talent reviews, employee engagement initiatives, comms, and L&D.

For each of these areas, there are numerous opportunities for teams to reclaim time historically lost to repetitive low-value-addition tasks. AI can extend human capability to increase quality of outputs.

On the flip side, organizations are dealing with issues ranging from charges of systematizing bias to public-facing gaffes or service interruptions. As with any technology, human choices in implementation, tool choice, and the processes that surround the software play a central role in the overall effectiveness and risks of systems.

With that said, AI is soon to be table stakes throughout hiring.
