Humanly Acquires Anthill to Expand AI Hiring Platform with Post-Hire Engagement Capabilities

Humanly, the AI hiring platform transforming how organizations attract, screen, and interview talent, today announced it has acquired Anthill, an AI-powered platform built to help companies connect with and support frontline employees after hiring.
The acquisition adds post-hire engagement capabilities to Humanly’s platform, strengthening its ability to help organizations not only hire more effectively, but also improve retention and workforce outcomes over time.
Founded in 2020 by Muriel Clauson Closs, Young-Jae Kim, and Laura Silvester, Anthill built technology designed to help frontline managers and distributed teams stay connected through messaging, feedback, and operational support. Anthill raised approximately $10 million in funding from investors including Origin Ventures, Rethink Ventures, BBG Ventures, and The Fund after participating in Techstars.
“Hiring is just the beginning of the relationship,” said Prem Kumar, Founder and CEO of Humanly. “The best hiring technology doesn’t stop at the interview or even the hire — it helps ensure the right people enter the right roles, stay longer, and succeed. Anthill expands our ability to support organizations beyond hiring and strengthens the outcomes our platform can drive.”
Humanly’s AI hiring platform helps organizations engage candidates instantly, accelerate time-to-hire, and improve candidate experience at scale. With Anthill, Humanly will extend that value by helping employers better support frontline workers after they join, creating a more connected experience across the workforce lifecycle.
“Frontline managers are often asked to do more with less, without the tools to support their teams effectively,” said Muriel Clauson Closs, Co-founder and CEO of Anthill. “We built Anthill to make it easier for organizations to communicate with and support frontline employees in real time. Together with Humanly, that experience can begin at hiring and continue well beyond day one.”
Following the acquisition, Humanly will continue operating the Anthill platform in the near term while exploring opportunities to integrate its capabilities into the broader Humanly platform.
“Anthill brings a thoughtful, practical approach to employee engagement that complements what we’ve built in hiring,” Kumar added. “This acquisition expands our platform in a way that is highly relevant for the frontline employers we serve.”
